Special: Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival
|
Bard on the Beach has one of the most unusual and unique theatre setting. The
theatre is performed in huge flowing tents along the waterfront with a magnificent view of
the city, mountains, sky and sea. Located at Vanier Park it attracts over
40,000 patrons annually and is something
not to be missed. This festival is only open during the summer season
(usually from June to September) but bring along warm
clothing as it might get chilly in the evenings. As the name states, this theatre produces
Shakespearian plays such as Twelfth Night, Henry V and Cymbeline just to name a few.
