With a huge geodesic dome raised high above, the Science World Centre (1455 Quebec Street) can be found in the northeast corner of False Creek. It once host the famous Expo 86 and is now a curious and interesting place to investigate our planet Earth.

Science World offers you a chance to make music with your feet, touch a roaring tornado with your hands and crawl inside a beaver dam. There is virtually nothing you cannot touch or hear. This is a world designed for hands-on experience for young children.

There are special demonstrations held throughout the year on the Centre Stage and the Search Gallery designed for hands-on exploration. An Omnimax Theatre is the largest domed theatre in the world with a vast screen and 28 speakers.

Special exhibitions are held at a frequent basis phone the centre to see what is on. You can also pick up a pamphlet with all the relevant information at any tourist information centre.

Getting to the Science World is not only easy but cheap. Catch the Skytrain to the Quebec and Terminal Centre at the Main Street/ Science World Skytrain Station.
