The Vancouver Art Gallery has various exhibits by local artists as well as Masterpieces. There are various exhibits change throughout the year. The Vancouver Art gallery is located on Robson Street in downtown Vancouver. The Art Gallery features various exhibits, often borrowing collections from around the world.
According to the Director of the Art Gallery "Vancouver is one of the most vibrant, progressive cities in the world and I believe the Vancouver Art Gallery has a responsibility to reflect this wealth of creativity and dynamic energy."
From now until January 3, 2011 the Vancouver Art Gallery features the works of contemporary BC artist Emily Carr. The museum also has on loan an exhibit from Paris. Musée d’Orsay, Paris has loaned to the the VancouverArt Gallery drawings from Degas, Renoir, Toulouse-Latrec other masterpieces. The exhibits from the Musée d’Orsay will only be at the gallery until September 6, 2010. When you're in downtown Vancouver then the Art Gallery is a must to see.
