I had the privilege of attending the Lady Gaga concert in Vancouver, BC. Lady Gaga is a lively and entertaining performer who loves her Canadian fans. According to her, when she was trying to become famous and her songs weren't major hits, it was the Canadians who sent the song "Just Dance" to number one on the music charts and gave her the big break she needed.
The opening act for Lady Gaga was Semi Precious Weapons. They've been the opening act for Lady Gaga since 2006. Lady Gaga and Semi Precious Weapons used to perfporm together before they became famous in front a crowd of 12 people. Since then Lady Gaga's fame has meant that the two bands perform before crowds of thousands.
The Monster Ball is Lady Gaga's second world tour. Having attended the concert, I must say that Lady Gaga is an outstanding performer and she really knows how to play the crowd well. The central message of her music was that it's alright be yourself. She told the crowd to not leave the concert loving Lady Gaga more, but to leave the concert loving themselves more. This is a very good message!
Lady Gaga's concert also gave the message that it's important to be brave. In everyone's lives it's important to be yourself and be brave when confronting others about your sexuality. Lady Gaga is pro-gay and encourages everyone to be free.
The audience loved the entire concert! The whole crowd was energized and I felt so fortunate to be among the audience. Her show is sensational and amazing as Lady Gaga herself.
