Christina Lake is not an unusual place for police to find marijuana grow-ops. However, on their latest discovery of a marijuana grow-op the police found something that they did not expect. The grow-up was being guarded by a dozen bears.
Police discovered a grow-up and found that they had more to handle than just drug growers. They had to handle about a dozen bears guarding the area. Police believe that the drug traffickers were feeding the bears dog food and other meats to keep them in the area and guard the grow-up from competitors.
The bears were docile and did not do anything to threaten the police officers. The police had shot guns, but did not need them. The danger is that the bears could get hungry and become dangerous.
Two people were arrested in connection with this grow-op.
