General Information

The quaint little beach hidden by parks is known as Locarno Beach and is located along the stretch of Northwest Marine Drive and Tolmie Street. It was once the prime host for one Vancouver's oldest First Nation village but recent real estate developments over the years have reduced it to nothing more than a stretch of beach. Much of the precious historical value that this beach afforded is now lost forever.

Perhaps if you are lucky, you might chance upon some ancient tools of the First Nation village. Bring along a picnic basket and a good book if you intend to get away from the city life.
