There are libraries; both central and local that are located throughout Vancouver which offers
a wealth of information. The
Vancouver Public Library is by far the largest library
in Vancuver. It is impressive both in size and in its extensive collection of books, ranging
from fiction books to journals.
Everyone is welcome to come and browse through the shelves of the libraries. However, if you
are not a resident of Vancouver, it is hard to borrow books. Some libraries may allow a two day
grace period but check with the staff before you try to borrow. Otherwise, libraries provide
a good and quiet place if you want to read quietly. There are shelves of magazines and newspapers
for you to choose from.
Other Libraries:
Chinese Community Library Services Association
Isaac Waldman Jewish Public Library
Richmond Public Library
Burnaby Public Library
University of British Columbia Library
