The heart of Vancouver is widely known as Downtown Vancouver and it is where many of the major tourist attractions are located. As it is hard to park in Downtown, it is advisable to take either the skytrain or the bus. Once you are in Downtown, you can visit the major malls such as Eatons Downtown, the Bay and many more. The most famous street in Vancouver would have to be Robson Street which has some of the more famous clothing stores such as Banana Republic, Roots and many more. There are restaurants along Robson ranging from Thai to North American as well as famous coffee hangouts like Starbucks or Blenz Coffee Shop. Located close to Robson Street is the Vancouver Art Gallery located on Hornby Street. It has a good collection of artworks ranging from the classics to modern. The Habour Centre. If you take the lift to the top of this centre, you will be rewarded with an impressive view of the city landscape. See Shopping in Vancouver to get a more detail description of the various malls located in Downtown. For a full list of Vancouver shops along with reviews, please refer to our city shopping guide.
