© virtualvancouver (Skiing slopes on Cypress Mountain) If you would look in the distance, you can find Point Grey as it stretches out towards the Strait of Georgia and islands dotting the gulf heading towards Vancouver Island.

As you wander further into the park, watch out for extensive hiking trails that zig-zag over the Black Mountain and Hollyburn Ridge. During winter, they are covered with inches of snow. Boasting the greatest vertical drop of the three North Shore ski mountains, Cypress Mountain offers some of the most challenging and rewarding skiing in Vancouver.

If you prefer gentler slopes, the best cross-country skiing in the state can also be found here with approximately 27 km of trails weaving around the Hollyburn Ridge.
