General Information

For an interesting and active outdoor experience, visit the Central Park in Burnaby, a landmark in this area for since 1891. You can take a leisurely stroll along the route of the old Central Park Tramline which was once the hub of the electric railway system in Greater Vancuver. Now the park is only one small stop from the huge Metrotown. There is a convenient and safe Skytrain located within walking distance.

Central Park has an accessible playground, a picnic area, walking and bicycling trails, a small lake open to remote-controlled boats, and many 'sport' equipments spread throughout the park. Take a chance and ton your muscles by trying out these equipment dotted along the trail.

There is also a mini golf course so you can practice your golf. Bring along a friend and golf equipment. While you're at it, grab a picnic basket and some wine.

As with all animal rules, do not attempt to feed the wildlife that live in the park. Give only wild seeds to the birds and nuts to the squirrels. There is no strict regulations concerning the feeding of wild animals but be conscious and do not feed them.
