Our friend referred us saying it was the "best italian restaurant in vancouver". 5 of us went for dinner, the ambience was good, cozy and warm. We were very disappointed with the server. He was impatient and maybe having a hard day. He took my friend's order first, then when it was our turn we asked what he would recommend for appetizer he annoyingly said "depends what you like, I don't know what you like, I may suggest this and that but you may not like it" so I decided to order the main entree Tortellini a la Rosa first but he couldn't hear me and told me to "speak up, it's too loud in here, I can't hear you". So I moved on to I ordering the Fish Soup same as my friend. And opted for the italian sausage appetizer. The pasta and sauce was excellent, as well as the appetizer (didn't need the server's help or suggestion after all!) I was still waiting for my soup when he returned with the potato soup? When I pointed out I ordered fish soup he argued with me that my friend was the one who ordered fish soup (I saw him write my order down and yet he insisted that the fish soup was my friend's? And reminded me that he told me to "speak up" because he couldn't hear me". It really ruined my appetite but I tried to stay positive as I was determined to enjoy my meal and evening. I did notice that the other servers were very friendly, professional helpful. He even assisted our server to clear our table. So kudos for the food and the other nice servers.
