Dr Sun Yat Sen Classical Garden Towards the rear of the Chinese Cultural Centre, you will find the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Garden. It is the only authentic classical garden ever constructed outside of China. As a joint project between Canada and the People's Republic of China, this classical garden was constructed without nails and without the help of modern conveniences of power tools.

Compiled of nearly 1,000 crate of roof tiles to courtyard pebbles from China, the garden is a quiet glade of contemplation situated within walking distance from Chinatown.

The garden is unlike any westernized garden as it is not a showcase for greenery but a delicate balance of harmony and tranquility. Everything within the garden, from the tallest of trees to the smallest of pebble play a part in the harmonization of the garden.

Wander through the garden at your leisure then visit the garden's small shop for a chance to buy Asian influenced crafts. Beautiful porcelains, handmade paper, wind chimes, delicate bonsai plants and books are just among the many selection of items you can buy.
