I have to admit... I was disappointed. REALLY disappointed. When browsing their website & after reading some reviews my fiance & I decided to book our long awaited romantic weekend getaway. We booked three nights in what was called an executive suite. I don't know who the executive is but he must be a sad little man to want this room. Our 'Mountian side' view consisted of a lovely view of the top peak of a mountian, followed by an even better view of the Executive Hotel across the street & the Harrison Pizza shop (fantastic pizza by the way, a must have!). We were situated convieniently next to the only ice machine in the hotel & beside the elevator. So we were never without the company of other guests noise. Our bedroom was actually quite lovely. The bed was large & comfortable. None of the typical tacky bedspreads or quilts you so often find. My one problem was the draperies. Our was pointed in the direction of the sunrise & even with the draperies drawn tight our room was brightly lit every morning by 5AM. I'm one of those people who can't sleep unless it's at least partially dark so my mornings were long & drawn out. The website makes the rooms deceptively larger than they really are. We wanted a room with a usable kitchen so I could make one romantic candle lit meal, however this was more akin to what could be found in a dorm room (mini fridge, microwave and just a stove top rather than the complete oven I required). The living room area was laughably small, the fireplace was a fake fireplace and our remotes for the TV's had dead batteries. We had a jacuuzi bath tub however hot water was in short supply. The heated bathroom floors were a nice touch though. the bathrooms were just about the only part that was roomy. While the staff was friendly for the most part - the girl who greated us was very nice. We got the general sense that they were irritated by questions. When my fiance had some problems connecting with the internet, rather then them arrange to have someone fix it he was eventually told that their IT guy lived in the Oakanogan (about 2-3 hours away - who hires people they can't get to??) and that he wouldn't be comming out to figure out what this issue was. Housekeeping was quite slow. We would be able to spend our morings & a large portion of our afternoons exploring the town & beach & still manage to come back to the room at 4:00 & find it hadn't been touched yet. For three nights of this we spent $800.00. We could have stayed at a much cheaper hotel & had the same experiance. I almost rated the hotel higher until I sat down & really thought about it. The only real highlight about the hotel that I want to remember is that is where my fiance proposed to me.
