Banks in the city of Vancuver are usually open from 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Fridays. Most banks accept traveler cheques at a
small fee but you won't have to pay the fee if you go the banks suggested at the back of your
cheques. Some shops will accept American dollars but will give you change in Canadian dollars.
Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) are available in most bank branches and are also located
at main shopping complexes so you can get cash easily and conveniently.
