VIRTUAL VANCOUVER

Vancouver, BC, Canada city guide for planning a vacation with information on hotels, sightseeing, tours, travel, maps, shopping, restaurants, attractions and real estate.

Vancouver offers a lot of exciting opportunities for sightseeing and activities. When you're planning your vacation be sure to visit some of these key attractions: Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver, downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain, Science World, Stanley Park, and the Vancouver Aquarium. These are among the most popular tourist attractions and well worth visiting. If you're traveling with kids then be sure to take them for a horse and carriage ride in Stanely Park, see the Pacific Northwest animals at the Greater Vancouver Zoo and learn while playing at Science World.

Adults will enjoy seeing the natural beauty of British Columbia by enjoying a scenic hike or gondola ride at Grouse Mountain. Nearby Capilano Suspension Bridge provides an adventurous trek over a rickety bridge. Both the suspension bridge and Grouse Mountain are located in North Vancouver. Please refer to Vancouver map to locate North Vancouver. Aside from the majestic beauty of mountains Vancouver also offers some great beaches. Visit Kitsilano Beach and English Bay to get a taste of Pacific coast beaches. For the more adventurous visit Wreck Beach nude beach.

Avid skiers will love the slopes at Mt. Seymour, Grouse Mountain, Cypress Bowl and especially Whistler. In spring and summer enjoy nature walks or long hikes through these mountains.

If you're staying in Vancouver for longer than a week we suggest that you explore nearby towns such as Harrison Hot Springs, Whistler, Victoria, Nanaimo, and Tofino. All these cities are accessible by car should you choose to rent a car. Tour operators also provide guided tours of these and other cities. Whistler is approximately 2 hours north of Vancouver by car or bus. Harrison Hot Springs is approximately 2 hours east of Vancouver by car. Victoria, Nanaimo and Tofino are located on Vancouver Island. A 90 minute ferry ride can take you across from Horshoe Bay or Schwartz Bay to Vancouver Island. BC Ferries operates everyday allowing passengers or vehicles to ride across to Vancouver Island.

If you're searching for good deals on Vancouver hotels we suggest using Travelocity .
