If you're staying in Vancouver for longer than a week we suggest that you explore nearby towns such as Harrison Hot Springs, Whistler, Victoria, Nanaimo, and Tofino. Whistler is approximately 2 hours north of Vancouver by car or bus. Harrison Hot Springs is approximately 2 hours east of Vancouver by car. Victoria, Nanaimo and Tofino are located on Vancouver Island. A 90 minute ferry ride can take you across from Horshoe Bay or Schwartz Bay to Vancouver Island. BC Ferries operates everyday allowing passengers or vehicles to ride across to Vancouver Island.
